I finally figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up --
and I was nearly 60 years old!
Over the years I've worked at lots of different jobs -- waitress, secretary, outreach worker, information specialist, running my own housekeeping service, and managing a furniture store. For a while I ran a battered women's shelter. Eventually I went back to school, and at 40, became an elementary school teacher.
There were jobs I loved -- and some I hated -- but I was always looking for something more. Something was missing. I wondered, "What's my true purpose? What am I really here for?"
Maybe you know what it's like to go from job to job, looking for the "perfect fit."
There are so many women asking the same questions --

"What am I supposed to be doing with my life?"
It took a while but when I finally figured out what I was supposed to be doing, things changed. Here's what I discovered. When you're passionate about your work, there's an incredible ripple effect. You have more energy. You take better care of yourself. Your relationships with others improve. It feels great to jump out of bed and get going every day. And, when you love your work, the money follows. And because you're creating the kind of life you truly want, you love your life again.
Combining specialized training with my own life experiences, I ReLaunched My Life as a career change coach. It didn't happen overnight but once I decided to start, I took small steps every day to make it happen. It took over a year of hard work, studying, research, and planning, but now I work out of my cozy home office with a fabulous view of our huge back yard. The goat pasture, woods, and creek are just beyond. I have time to stroll in the gardens, visit with friends, or enjoy a cup of coffee on the patio with my husband.
The best part is that I get to combine my interests, passions, and life experience to help other women over 40 who want to be their own boss. Women who are unhappy, stuck, stressed out, or just plain bored silly with their jobs and want something better out of life.
